How does The Grade Gurus differ from other tutoring services in the Lake Zurich area?
The main difference between The Grade Gurus and other tutoring services is that our tutors are high school students. As high school students, we feel that we are better able to relate to middle school students in the area. Also, many other tutoring services and tutors in the area charge between $40.00 and $100.00 per hour. With our cost of $30.00 per hour, we offer a more cost-friendly service. We are also willing to contact or meet with your child’s teachers in order to receive supplemental teaching materials. We can also communicate with them to find out what they feel would be the best way to help your student succeed in his or her teacher’s classroom.
Where will we offer our tutoring services?
All tutoring services will either take place in a study room at the Ela Area Public Library or the student’s home. Our goal is to help your child to the best of our ability. We will leave the decision of the location of the tutoring session up to your child and you. However, we ask that if you choose to have a tutoring session at your home, please provide us with an area to tutor without any outside distractions. This is to ensure that we are able to help your child as much as possible within the hour-long tutoring session.
Can my child be tutored for more than an hour per tutoring session?
Yes! If you feel that your child may need more than an hour to understand a specific topic or concept, please let us know ahead of time so we can be sure to accommodate them.
